Just Because…

I thought this was such a great picture (again, taken by the fabulous Tiffany and that camera I have to have!)

Hi!

When we were in NYC a few weeks ago Barron started waving hi and now he is doing it all the time!  Everywhere we go he loves waving to people and seeing their reaction as they wave back.  He is such a ham that I haven’t been able to capture any pictures.  He sees the camera and starts posing, so thank you to Tiffany for capturing these great shots (and convincing me that I now need the $3,000 camera).

These were taken right after our trip to see Santa last week.  We met my best friends from high school (Amber and Tiffany) at the Coffee Bean on El Paseo; one of my favorite spots when we come to Palm Springs.

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a great time watching the joy on Barron’s face this year and are looking forward to a year when we can teach him about the birth of the baby Jesus and the real reason for the season.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”

-Matthew 1:23

Limo & Lights

What better to get you in the Christmas Spirit than looking at Christmas Lights?  Looking at them from a limo!  That is just what I did tonight…with girlfriends.  It was a great night.  Thanks Katie for the great idea!

Can you dig it?

Here’s how we spent last weekend:

I’m hoping to do something a little more exciting this weekend.  The good news is..our yard is all graded and ready for grass!  A huge thanks to Uncle Gary for coming out to help Tim and driving the bobcat.

Oh Christmas Tree

Well folks…the tree is up and the stockings are hung!

My mother in law made me my burlap stockings and I had great plans of doing something creative for the names but I can’t decide to go with Tim and Jen or Mama and Daddy?  What do you think?

Farmtown

This weekend we headed back to THE FARM.  Have I mentioned how cool this place is?  Oh yah, I did a whole post on it.  Well…it was still cool this weekend.  All the leaves are changing and falling on the trees; here  are some pics.

NYC

We went to New York City this past week and had a great trip.  We just love the city and had a great time with my mom, sister and her husband Eric.  While we have been to the city many times, we had never experienced it at Christmas time.  It did not disappoint!  We loved strolling down 5th Avenue looking at all the decorations and we even got VIP passes to the Rockefeller Tree Lighting.  It was a great week.

How is our baby boy 7 months already? Everyone says it…but it really does fly by.  Here are some pictures of him at 1 month and 7 months at bath time.

Cheers to 28 Years!

I had a wonderful birthday this year.  Everyone did such a great job of making me feel special.  Since we were in San Diego I got to spend the day with family, friends and the love of my life.  What more could I want?  I started the day out with coffee with Tim, followed by breakfast with my best friends, then came home to find Tim had baked me my favorite cake (red velvet) from scratch…which was delicious by the way.  Auntie Emily babysat for us in the afternoon and we went to my favorite furniture store Pat’s, had lunch with friends, and took Chargy to play in Northpark.  We finished the evening with a birthday party for Brittany (our cousin who’s bday is a few days after).  It was a wonderful day and I have a feeling 28 is going to be a great year!

Thankful.

Well ya’ll, I’m back to blogging!  We have been out of town for the past 2 weeks so please excuse the absence. I have lots to catch up on, but here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.  We had a wonderful time (with Tim’s family this year).  Barron finally got to meet his new cousin Noah, who was 6 weeks old.  I meant to do one of those posts of all the things we are thankful for, because we are so immeasurably blessed, but that didn’t happen.  So, please know that we are so grateful for all of our blessings and still can’t believe the Lord blessed us with a healthy, joyful baby boy.  The Lord has blessed me with so much more than I imagined was possible for my life and I do a very poor job of expressing that in my daily life.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful time celebrating the holidays!
